Designed and programmed the development of two different systems for Point-Of-Sale and distribution for two different "Fixed Lot" type inventory distributors: (1) Lumber, and, (2) and Carpeting & Linoleum.

These systems involved the real-time analysis and simulation of sales to predict when lots should either be (a.) sold in full, (b.) depleted, or (c.) sold as remnants.

Designed and programmed a system for Direct Mail Management.

This system was developed for a professional direct mail dissemination operation. The system tracked the sources for direct mail requests, analyzed the patterns (orders) of requests, and charged back costs of execution.

Designed and Programmed Computer Security Systems.

Created systems to limit or prevent unauthorized entry and/or unauthorized tasks. I was able to control activity at both the application and, uniquely, at the operating system level by creating programs that actually reverse engineered and modified the operating system. This effort resulted in the creation of a commercial "boxed" product called "Command Perfect ™."

Designed and Programmed Numerous Games and Home "Utility" Programs.

Created numerous games and home products including menu planning, wine collecting, stamp collecting, coin collecting, card collection, comic collecting, date management, etc.

Designed and programmed Internet (Web) sites (various).

Designed and developed systems for several companies including electronics firms, consumer/commercial hard goods firms, and Micro Perfect’s own site.

Reverse engineered numerous systems in a variety of industries for organizations that "lost" their source code.

These projects included an insurance company system and a system for an internationally famous museum.

Ported and converted DOS applications to Windows.

These projects included several types of systems spanning several computer languages. Some of these conversions included Year 2000 (Y2K) enhancements.

Litigation support.

Expert Witness.

Testimony was delivered in depositions, interrogatories, and in a variety of state and federal courts. These projects included several types of systems spanning several computer languages. Areas of testimony included systems, languages, trademarks, copyrights, applications, operating systems, hardware, and other areas.

Designed and programmed and supervised development of over 2000 add-ons and modifications to various commercial accounting systems.

Nearly 800 of these products were resold on a regular basis. (Catalogs of these "shrink wrapped" enhancement products are available on request.)

Designed, programmed, and specified hardware for archival systems to off-load non-current information from real-time information processing applications.

These projects involved archival of both data, OCR, and scanned images. Archival was to Disk, tape, and laser media (COLD.)

Designed and programmed software to ENCRYPT and DE-ENCRYPT data.

Keys and "seeds" for algorithms could be (a.) random, (b.) user selectable, or (c.) event driven.

Designed and programmed systems for Voice Mail, Automated Attendant, and Computer Integrated Telephony (CIT).

Projects included a car rental company and a software company.

Developed and Integrated Data Processing, Robotic Vision, and Robotic Assembly for light manufacturing applications.

Designed and programmed software for Help Desk application.

The project created a "shrink wrapped" solution for customer support applications. The systems included a searchable "knowledge base" and a billing and chargeback section.

Management Analysis for Workflow Re-Design and Business Reorganization.

For a Detroit based automotive manufacturer. Determined appropriate staff levels and areas for automation to reduce staff.

Design and programming of a Windows based electronic surveillance system.

P.C. controlled camera, audio, and lighting systems for secure buildings. Infrared, photoelectric, and pressure sensors will trigger PC based alerts, thereafter, heating (or A.C.) and lighting systems are activated, thereafter, camera systems, splitters, and recorders are activated.

Design and programming of a Mail Server and E-Mail marketing system.

Created a system to harvest targeted e-mail addresses and simultaneously send targeted e-mail for a major distributor of consumer goods.

Design and programming of an E-Commerce system including an Internet based (WEB ENABLED) "Electronic Shopping Cart" for Manufacturer and Distributor.

Created a complete shoping cart system using Cold Fusion, Visual Basic, Java, and purchased components. Integrated the finished E-commerce system to legacy DOS and Windows based back office accounting and manufacturing systems.

Numerous Integrated Supply Chain Management Systems for a Retail Organizations.

This system includes Point-Of-Sale at retail locations and a central warehouse. The order processing, shipping management, and chargebacks are automated with minimal human intervention and a minimum of staff required.

Design and programming of an E-Commerce system including an Internet based (WEB ENABLED) marketing and order entry system for a new toll-free telecommunications company.

Creating a complete customer order entry and work order creation system using Cold Fusion, Visual Basic, Java, and purchased components.

Numerous Network Performance Enhancement Projects in a Variety of Environments.

These project were generally to improve network performance through the troubleshooting of network errors and implementation of improved and faster equipment.

Design and programming of an E-Commerce system including an Internet based (WEB ENABLED) marketing and order entry system for a fourth-generation family-owned commercial products company.

Creating a complete World Wide Web (WWW) based customer order entry system using Cold Fusion, Visual Basic, Java, and purchased components.

Designed, programmed and implemented an on-line directory system for a Major Public University System.

The system was designed to facilitate university phone operators as well as campus operations.

Designed, programmed and implemented a system to manage schedules and events for politicians.

The system included managing contacts, fund-raising, and the details associated with public speaking engagements.

Debugged and enhanced an Access Control Systems: for (1) the US Justice Department, Federal Bureau of Prisons, (2) the State of Utah, Central Utah Correctional Facility, and (3) the State of Minnesota, Department of Corrections.

This system includes integration to biometric hand reading devices. Note: a non-compete and confidentiality agreement specific to hand reader projects in prison settings may be in effect through mid-2001.

Hardware key analysis and modification for users of software of a defunct publisher.

Created "workarounds" in both hardware and software so that users of a product from defunct software publisher (whose software was restricted via hardware and software "keys") might be able to (1) convert their data to other software systems, and (2) move "dongles" (physical parallel port mounted hardware keys) to more modern and faster hardware.

Projects in Process: September 1999

Maintenance of nearly 100 "canned" solutions for various types of organizations.

These systems are completed but still require a minimum of maintenance and new feature addition. Some of the maintenance that has been completed involves conversion from DOS to Windows interfaces.

Year 2000 (Y2K) Emergencies.

Projects completed and on-going projects sought to rewrite systems where source code is lost or otherwise unavailable. These opportunities may include a redesign to create the new system in a Windows (GUI) or Web Enabled format. Mr. Fischer is uniquely positioned to undertake these kinds projects because of his experience in Rapid Application Development (RAD) methods.

Programmer Retention.

With the shortage of skilled systems professionals it is ever more important to retain staff talent. Mr. Fischer has developed programs to increased staff retention.
